Students aged 16-18 (or enthusiastic younger students) have a wide range of courses to prepare for maths challenges, A-Level maths and university entrance exams, many of which are free.

Prepare for the Senior Maths Challenge, Senior Kangaroo with 'Go for Gold in Maths Challenges (age 16-18)' or the free practice courses. Get ready for MAT and TMUA with free courses, or step up to A-Level with 'Get Ready for A-Level Maths'.

'Go for Gold' is also suitable for the Australian Maths Competition (Senior), AMC12 in the US and similar challenges around the world.

SENIOR MATHS CHALLENGE

With the totally free course 'Get Ready for the Senior Maths Challenge' you can practice past SMC questions with video hints and solutions.

For the best preparation, start with 'Go for Gold in Maths Challenges' - this course has teaching videos and quizzes to introduce you to the main topics that come up in maths challenges and loads of original practice questions, video hints and solutions.

If you've qualified for the Senior Kangaroo, take the free Kangaroo course and practise with video hints and solutions.

A-LEVEL MATHS

The course 'Get Ready for A-Level Maths' covers about a third of the first year of A-Level pure maths. It's perfect for students who have finished or are in the later stages of GCSE or IGCSE maths or are preparing to start or are in the first year of A-Level maths.

There is currently no course working through the full content of A-Level Maths and Further Maths though more courses at this level are planned for the future [estimated 2024].

UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS

Prepare for the Oxford University Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT) with video solutions to 50 real past paper Short Answer questions and 16 Long Answer Questions.

In the free TMUA course, practise past paper questions from the TMUA (Test of Mathematics for University Admission), similar to the short answer MAT questions.
