Live Online Classes to Prepare for the Junior Kangaroo and Olympiad

These short courses are aimed at students preparing for the UKMT Junior Kangaroo and Olympiad rounds. These are follow-on rounds from the Junior Maths Challenge for advanced students in this age group.

The Regular Track will be aimed at students taking the Olympiad for the first time and focus on Section A-type problems and the easier Section B problems.

The advanced option will assume some experience of the paper and focus on just the harder problems, mostly aimed at Section B.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The courses will be aimed at students who are taking the relevant challenges, but students are welcome to attend any or all of the courses regardless of which challenges they have qualified for or are sitting, even if they are not taking any of the challenges. Some Kangaroo students will also enjoy the regular track of the Olympiad course, and some Olympiad students may like to top up with the Kangaroo course as there is a lot of overlap in terms of the topics covered. A few students may even want to come to all three sets of classes!
No, you can only register for a complete set of classes, and switching between individual classes will not be possible.
Enthusiastic younger students are always welcome to attend. All students must be 13 years or younger, but there is no lower limit and children who are far ahead of their age group sometimes attend these classes.
The live Zoom classes are never recorded (and permission to make recordings is not given). There is currently no self-paced version of this exact course, but many of the same ideas are covered in the Go for Gold in Maths Challenges courses. There are also free courses working through many real past paper questions. You can find all of these from the relevant pages in the menus or by logging in and visiting your dashboard.
