An online course in three levels to take students aged 9-11 from beginner to advanced (scholarship). It's also suitable for primary students not taking 11+ who want to enrich their studies in maths with challenging problems.
Designed by a former 11+ paper setter from London's leading independent schools, this course has over 1000 questions in the style of major 11+ papers, including the toughest scholarship-level questions.
The first week of each level is totally free of charge!
In this totally free course you can practise past paper questions from the Mathematical Association’s First Maths Challenge. This is a UK based challenge that is also open to students around the world, that gives pupils aged 7 to 9 the change to take part in a fun mathematical challenge.
With the totally free course, Prepare for the Primary Maths Challenges, students can practice past PMC questions with Kevin's video solutions - a great preparation and warm-up for the challenge!
The 'Go for Gold' course was designed with the Junior (age 11-13) maths challenge in mind, but is very suitable for PMC preparation too, especially for more advanced students or Bonus Round qualifiers.
There is also a lot of overlap between 11+ maths and the Primary Maths Challenge, and so students who have taken the 11+ course above (especially Level 3) will be really well prepared for the PMC too!
What is the Primary Maths Challenge? Where can I find more info, past papers and grade boundaries?
Take a look at the page here - it has a video where Kevin talks you through all the maths challenges from the First and Primary challenge, all the way up to the Senior competitions.
There are also links to the official website, as well as to past papers and certificate boundaries for recent years.
I am a very able student (or their parent) and want to do more than is offered at school - what's the best way to make progress?
That's a great question - these are exactly the sorts of students I'm most experienced working with.
I made a YouTube video talking about this topic in a lot of detail and you can see it here!
